Naturaliste offers guided mycological routes through the forests of the province of Zamora, especially in autumn and spring, when the environment is full of edible mushrooms such as boletus, chanterelles, or amanitas. The outings include a walk through the mountains with an expert guide who teaches how to identify the species, collect them responsibly, and enjoy the natural environment.
These routes are adapted to the level and age of the group, making them ideal for families with children from 5 years old. They are mainly carried out in the region of Aliste, but also in areas such as La Carballeda, Sanabria or the Sierra de la Culebra. One of the attractions is the search for the rockrose boletus or “zamoranito”, very abundant in this region. Naturaliste manages collection permits in mycological reserves and promotes good practices to avoid damaging the mycelia or the ecosystem. They also offer gastronomic recommendations, such as mycological meals in local restaurants. They have a personalized customer service and help travelers plan their stay in the area, proposing other nature activities in Spain and Portugal.
