What is Mycotour?
Mycotour is an initiative that contributes to structuring, improving and internationalizing the mycotourism experience in rural areas in an orderly, sustainable, intelligent and inclusive manner.
To this end, we promote a voluntary, supportive and transparent management that brings together the interests of forest owners and managers, local collectors, hoteliers, scientists and other users of the forest, to make profitable the value generated by the mycological resource in rural production areas and ensure its survival and adaptation to change.
Improving forest management contributing to forest health and increasing environmental benefit.
The valorization of non-timber forest products.
The promotion of the local economy by creating new business models and promoting mycotourism to fix population in rural areas.

Living Labs Methodology
Mycotour aims to create an experimental environment where users and producers can co-create innovations in a Living Lab spirit.
Its main objective is the creation of new products, services and infrastructures adapted to the real needs of society, involving both the public-private actors who are the direct beneficiaries and the users of the mycotourism experience, with the scientific support of CITA and EMI.
